James, 38, is currently the oldest active player in the NBA and a four-time champion.

But back in his high school days, it was Jordan who was king of the basketball world.

Chicago Bulls legend Jordan transcended the sport, winning six NBA titles and becoming a global superstar.

James and Jordan first crossed paths in 2002 while LeBron was a sophomore at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.

LeBron told the Uninterrupted podcast, “When I met Michael Jordan for the first time, I literally couldn’t believe it was him.

“The dude looked like Jesus Christ to me. He looked like Black Jesus.

“Nobody could tell me anything different.”

James’ first meeting with Jordan also opened up a brave new world – the gym.

He continued, “They take us to the hoops [in Chicago].

“Before they play, they say ‘Mike always likes to lift [weights]’.

“So we walk up the stairs, nobody told me Mike lifted before he played. I knew nothing about that at that stage, I’m a high school sophomore.

“Mike was sitting on the bench press and I was like ‘Oh my f***ing God!’.

“I didn’t think he was real man, you don’t understand. I only thought he lived in the TV.

“If the man above had taken me that day, I’d have lived a hell of a life.”

LeBron is currently nursing an ankle injury and missed Tuesday’s loss to crosstown LA rivals the Clippers.

Now the leading scorer in NBA history, James is averaging 24.8 points per game this season.
