That old adage often apples in life — and it sure applies with Grammy nominations.

When the Big 4 categories — Album, Record and Song of the Year — were first expanded from five to eight nominees in 2018, and then to 10 in 2021, it made it trickier for the true class acts of the field to emerge victorious.

While five nods still feel like more than enough for the elite categories, the decision to downsize back to eight nominees for the 2024 Grammy Awards is a step in the right direction.

Still, aside from a few obvious contenders — ahem, Taylor Swift — there really aren’t eight worthy enough nominees to announce on Friday, in a live stream at 11 a.m. EST on Grammy.com.

Here’s who will likely wind up competing for the top trophies when music’s biggest night goes down on Feb. 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Jason Kelce Says Wife Kylie Kelce Was Not ‘Happy’ He Went Shirtless: She Said ‘Don’t You Dare’ and I Did. Now She want’s a Divorce

The Philadelphia Eagles center, 36, shared his wife’s response after he stripped off his shirt and jumped into the stands at Sunday’s Chiefs-Bills game.

Jason may have the internet calling for his portrait to hang in the Louvre, but his wife’s reaction to his shirtless antics wasn’t quite as enthusiastic.

On Wednesday’s episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, the brothers debriefed Sunday’s exciting playoff game — which saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Buffalo Bills to secure a spot in the AFC Championship — and Jason gave fans what they really wanted: a breakdown of his shirtless moment at Highmark Stadium.

“I wanted to take everything off and be out there with the fans,” he revealed of his mindset on Sunday. “I don’t know if I’m wrong in my head, but I feel like taking your shirt off is a Buffalo Bills thing, right?”

Travis agreed, with Jason, 36, adding that he wanted “the full experience.”

His wife, Kylie Kelce, who was also in attendance at the game, wasn’t quite as thrilled with the show Jason put on, though. “I don’t think she was happy about it, to be honest with you,” he admitted after Travis said he wanted to see more of his sister-in-law’s reaction to the scene “so bad.”

“There was not enough cameras on the suite where you can see Kylie,” the tight end, 34, complained.
