Nick Bosa is one of the most feared linebackers in the NFL and one of the most controversial. The San Francisco 49ers player was once again the center of conversation on social media due to one of the two sacks he got on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Since he arrived in the NFL, two things have distinguished Bosa: The first is his efficiency on the field, which has led him to 150 tackles and 53.5 sacks in his five-year career. The second is that he usually retweets or likes racist comments on social media.

The Ohio State product is usually at the center of criticism for his activity on social media, and this time, his critics believe they have found something else to blame him for.

On Sunday, in the NFC Championship game, Bosa sacked Jared Goff twice. The problem for the linebacker is that in a video circulating on social media, he is seen being very gentle with the rival quarterback, whom he only puts on the ground.

Social media anger against Bosa

The criticism was immediate, linking two unrelated events. One commenter on X, formerly Twitter, noted, “Nick Bosa is making sure Jared Goff makes it on turf safely. He’s not beating the allegations.”

Another was more direct, saying, “Nick Bosa gently putting White QBs on the ground is why the racist allegations will never go away.” “Nick Bosa, you’re still not beating the racist allegations, you little b*tch,” someone else noted.

The comments did not stop, and another user added, “Nick Bosa never beating the allegations, y’all saw how lightly he just sat Jared Goff down.”

Among all the negative comments, there was no shortage of someone who defended the player: “Bosa sacks all QBs the same way. He just tries to get them down, not to hurt them. Bosa is not a dirty player.”

Next up are the Chiefs

Amid the criticism, Bosa and the 49ers are already preparing to face the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11 in Super Bowl LVIII. His next target will be quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and there is no doubt that his critics will not miss a single detail of the way he treats him.

After the game against the Lions, where they had to overcome a 17-point halftime deficit to win 34-31, the Niners will do everything to avoid finding themselves in a similar situation against the Chiefs.

At the end of the game against DetroitBosa stated that at halftime he tried to rally the troops, asking all his teammates to just do their job. They will greatly need that against Kansas City if they want to take home their sixth Vince Lombardi Trophy.
