Las Vegas. Sin City. Known for its partying and night life, people from all corners of the Earth are drawn to the metropolis in the Nevada desert and Patrick Mahomes is well aware of the lure of the casinos and has struck a deal with his squad to keep their time there strictly business.

 

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ quarterback has promised his team that if they retain their focus for a few nights amidst the bright lights, as they bid for their third Super Bowl win in six seasons, he will bring them back to Las Vegas after and they can drink as much as they want.

“This is a business trip,” Mahomes said, as per James Palmer. “I told the guys that if we win, I’ll bring everyone back to Vegas to celebrate.”

The star is currently regarded as the best quarterback in the game and seems destined for the greatest of all time conversation. The Chiefs aren’t naïve either, they know this which is why he makes a massive salary of $503m in his 10-year contract.

The contract will see him remain in red and white, unless the franchise decides otherwise, until 2030 and re-structured the contract in 2023 to earn $210m until 2026 so clearly he’s not short on cash and can definitely finance that trip.

Super Bowl LVIII details

The 58th edition of the Super Bowl, where the victors will leave with the Lombardi Trophy and countless unique winner’s rings, will take place on Sunday, February 11 at 18:30 ET/15:30 PT.

The game takes place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, home to the Raiders, and seats over 70,000 spectators. Not only will they be treated to a football game between the 11-6 Chiefs and 12-5 San Francisco 49ers, they will get to see Usher perform the famous half-time show.

CBS will broadcast the game live to American audiences, whilst it can be streamed online via Paramount+ for Americans. Nickelodeon is also offering alternative coverage for any youngsters who may struggle to keep up with an adult-aimed broadcast.
