GEORGIA Steel has revealed she has been subject to horrendous trolling and even death threats after appearing on Love Island All Stars.

The 25-year-old made it to the show’s final earlier this month with Toby Aromolaran.

But she faced intense backlash from viewers over her connections with Callum Jones and Tom Clare.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about the reaction, Georgia said: “I felt like the most hated woman in the country. I had no clue it would be that bad.

“I’m 25 and I wanted to meet the right person for me, and the only way to do that was to get to know people.

“I don’t see the boys receiving the hate that I did. It’s actually mostly women that have been trolling me and I wouldn’t have expected that.

“It’s all really confusing and hard for me to get my head around.”

Georgia was revealed to have been cracking on with Toby, 24, behind Callum’s back during the ‘PDA awards’ – a twist on the classic Movie Night in which contestants were shown clips of their PDA (public display of affection) moments.

She also left eventual winner Molly Smith unimpressed when she was seen to be interested in getting to know Tom, 24.

But Georgia has insisted she hasn’t been the only one to suffer from the reaction from outraged fans – and Love Island bosses even tried to prepare her for what awaited her on the outside.

She said: “I had a feeling I would get some stick when I got out but never did I know that the trolling would be so intense.

“I’ve had death threats, my family and friends have had death threats and I feel slightly responsible for that.

“I had a gut feeling after the PDA awards ceremony about the backlash that was brewing on the outside. I didn’t have therapy in the villa but when I came out, the producers prepared me and told me about the stick I had had.”

And the backlash is affecting Georgia every day as she admits to worrying about leaving the house after being trolled so much online.

She added: “I feel anxious when I leave the house. I’m always thinking, will anyone say anything to me?

“I’m determined to still live my life and I know I signed up to be in the public eye. I know I’m controversial and I’m never going to please everyone, but I didn’t expect this to be so intense.”

For now, though, Georgia is focussed on leaving the drama behind, getting herself back on her feet and turning a brutal experience into a positive.

“I will go back to social media when it feels right, but I want to be back in the best mindset first,” she explains.

“I also  want to use my platform and not allow this vile trolling to happen anymore. I would love to go to parliament and speak to them about it because we need to set up a system where anonymous trolling is not allowed.

“It’s the modern day form of bullying and it needs to be stopped because everyone in the public eye gets it. Some people won’t be as resilient as me and that’s who we need to look after. I really want to do something about it to be honest, before it is too late.”
