The donation was first reported by Page Six and made through Kelce’s charitable organization Eighty-Seven Running. One person was killed and at least 23 others injured after gunfire broke out at Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. The team had just returned from a triumphant weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate with their fans. But their parade was marred by the horror shooting which left numerous children also injured.

Kelce donated $100,000 to the Reyes family after their daughters, aged eight and ten, were hurt in the shooting.

“Travis has a really big soft spot for kids and wanted to make sure their families were taken care of and were supported with whatever they needed,” a source told Page Six.

The Reyes family set up a GoFundMe page after both girls were shot in the legs.

The contributions from Kelce appeared in two $50,000 donations via Eighty-Seven Running.

They also took the Reyes family well beyond their initial target of $100,000.

Kelce’s girlfriend Swift had earlier donated to the family of victim Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to support Lopez-Galvan’s family following the tragedy.

The 43-year-old mother of two was a local radio DJ and died in the shooting.

It initially aimed to raise $75,000 and Swift, 34, helped reach the goal with a couple of $50,000 donations she made on Friday morning.

Each of them had a message attached, which read: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”

A Chiefs statement said, “We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of today’s parade and rally.”

Kelce added, “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today.

“My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
