SHE shot to fame as one of the original Towie girls whose romance with Mark Wright played out over six series.

Now Lauren Goodger’s been pictured filming for the first time since her big comeback was announced last year – eight years after she quit the show for a second time.

Lauren, 36, joined Amy Childs and Junaid Ahmed at the Funky Monk restaurant in Epping and look thrilled to be back.

She dressed all in black and showed off her pearly white smile as she posed for pictures.

Outside the venue, Lauren shared laughs and hugs with Junaid, while inside she looked to be having a good old chit chat with long time pal Amy over lunch.

Lauren was temporarily axed from the show in 2012 for alleged diva behaviour behind the scenes, before quitting for good the same year over body image issues.

She told the Mirror at the time: “I felt under so much pressure. Most of the girls on Towie are quite skinny and could wear what the hell they wanted.

“We all had different body shapes, and I’m not being horrible, but I don’t like boob jobs or even want to be really thin. I just want to keep my curves and be a little more toned. But, next to the others, I’d be panicking over whether my arms looked fat or how big I’d look if I was sitting down.”

Ahead of her comeback, Lauren’s pals revealed she had hopes of girly catch ups with Amy Childs and their kids on the show.

Lauren is mum to Larose, two, while Amy has daughter Polly, six, and 10 month old twins Billie and Millie.

It is believed Lauren wanted her return to focus on her family life and motherhood after being embroiled in drama and explosive arguments during her first turbulent stint.

During her time on the show, viewers watched her on/off romance with former fiancé Mark.

Now, a show insider said: “Lauren isn’t the same person people saw on Towie – she’s now a mum and has changed a lot.

“It’s really obvious to producers that she’s in a completely different stage of her life and she’s looking forward to showing a new Lauren.”

“A woman who had different priorities than she did in her twenties.”
