‘I’m so grateful for all the love and kindness people have shown towards me and my family thought out my journey also; a 25 year old navigating a Love Island experience while having trust issues and conflicting emotions was tougher than I ever thought it would be’.

Before adding: ‘I’m looking forward to sharing the next chapters with you guys while having a full heart, continuing to trust in my gut n go with the flowww’.

Georgia, who first hit screens in 2018’s fifth season of the show, caused stirs in the villa when she vied for eventual winner Tom Clare’s affections before reuniting with former flame Toby.

After her actions were exposed to her castmates at the ‘PDA Awards’ – a new take on the show’s ever-eventful Movie Night – Georgia revealed her social media was ablaze with trolling, mostly from women, which left her feeling hated’.

Speaking to The Sun, she detailed: ‘I felt like the most hated woman in the country. I had no clue it would be that bad. I’m 25 and I wanted to meet the right person for me, and the only way to do that was to get to know people.’

Georgia added that she has been scared to leave her home amid the backlash.

Her Love Island: All Stars journey was undoubtedly bumpy, when she was initially rebuffed by Toby – with whom she had previously enjoyed a fling on Love Island: The Games – before the duo hooked up and left together.

She was a divisive figure on the ITV show after becoming embroiled in a love square with Toby, Callum Jones, 27, and Tom, 24, admitting she has feelings for all of them.

Her attempts to lure former flame Tom caused the most ructions, after she discussed fancying the footballer despite his pairing with Molly Smith.

Speaking about the negative reactions, she said: ‘I don’t see the boys receiving the hate that I did. It’s actually mostly women that have been trolling me and I wouldn’t have expected that It’s all really confusing and hard for me to get my head around.’

Georgia also spoke about her fears over leaving the house due to the hate she was receiving and fears she could be abused in the street.

On her concerns, the troubled star said: ‘I feel anxious when I leave the house. I’m always thinking, will anyone say anything to me?’

“I’m determined to still live my life and I know I signed up to be in the public eye. I know I’m controversial and I’m never going to please everyone, but I didn’t expect this to be so intense’.

Earlier this week, a source told MailOnline: ‘Georgia felt like she needed to take a bit of an extended social detox. She was really quite shocked when she heard about the trolling she received while she was in the villa and wants to keep offline for a bit.

‘It was a really horrible experience for her friends and family having to see such nasty comments and hate on her feed.

‘She is really happy and in such a good place with Toby. She also knows she has had a lot of support online and is grateful.’

A spokeswoman for Georgia said: ‘Georgia is enjoying a short social media break and will be back very soon.’
