LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have lost eight consecutive games against the Denver Nuggets since 2022.

“They have our number…” LeBron James admits Lakers are clueless to draw plays against Nikola Jokic and Nuggets

Another loss to the Denver Nuggets, and with that, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have now gone on an 8-game losing streak against them.

Their last win coming in 2022 has raised a few questions for an already ‘out-of-idea’ Lakers side, and James has an idea what those numbers are and mean to them.

They have our number. It’s always kind of the fourth quarter, the last six minutes or the last few minutes of the game. They make plays, we don’t make plays, and that can be frustrating.

Said LeBron James after their defeat to the Denver Nuggets at home
After their abysmal record against the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James took to the postgame interview, stating Nikola Jokic is the “best player in the world” and how his presence on their team makes their shooters more comfortable taking their shots.

The leader at the MVP ladder currently, Jokic, has been nothing short of phenomenal, doing everything to keep their hopes of defending their title last year.

As for LeBron and the Lakers, who can’t be put into the same conversation this year after their horrendous form, it’s only a matter of time when things will change within the team. But for now, the sting of loss after loss against the Nuggets continues to haunt them.

Los Angeles has now lost eight consecutive games against the Denver Nuggets, who have found it hard to break them since 2022—their last win—raising fewer questions and more praise for their star players like Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.

With their last matchup resulting in another win for the away side, the Denver Nuggets look more and more certain to defend their glory from last year as their hunt for the playoffs continues.

And amongst the brilliant performers, it was Nikola Jokic who took the stage again, running LeBron’s 40,000 milestone at the night, scoring 34, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists to warp the night up for their 42nd win.
